About Me
I have 19 years of experience providing therapy and psychological evaluations. My Ph.D. in clinical psychology is from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I especially focused on attachment and ADHD and other behavioral disorders.

My clinical internship was with Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and my residency was in private practice focusing on play therapy in Salem, Va.

I have additional extensive training and experience in diagnosing autism, conducting forensic evaluations, and treating attachment problems and trauma.

I have served on the board of the Virginia Association of Play Therapy for more than 7 years. Prior to moving to Staunton, Va., I served children and teens in private practice in the Roanoke, Va., area for 8 years, and was an assistant professor with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, providing supervision to psychiatry residents.

I enjoy conducting presentations on attachment, emotional regulation, parenting, and the incredible research coming out on optimal brain development.

My goals in working with you are to nurture individual and family strengths, enhance joy and hope in the face of difficult circumstances, and provide answers and effective treatment plans via psychological testing.

Outside the office, life stays busy and interesting - sometimes too much so! - with three boys, ranging in age from preschool to college-bound.
